His demise came in the middle of calls for financial support led by his colleagues, Bolaji 'Mr. Latin' Amusan and Yomi Fash Lanso.

The latter confirmed his death in an Instagram video posted today, May 7, 2017, while also thanking those who offered help to the deceased.

It marks the sad exodus of a number of notable Nollywood actors who lost their lives due to a fierce battle with a health condition.

Before his passing,'Pastor Ajidara'  whose real name is Adeshina Adesanya, was the governor of the Association of Theatre Arts and Movie Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Ogun State.

He was popular for his roles in the movies, "Agbeku abela" (2009) and "Ologbo Iya Ijebu" (2007).
