Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has suffered another blow after a Kiambu Court ruled that she will be detained for 10 more days at Gigiri Police Station, to allow further investigations.

Her bail application was also denied after the prosecution asked to have her detained for 10 more days until investigations into the brutal murder of Monika Nyawira Kimani are complete.
Reports reaching Pulselive.co.ke indicate that the prosecution also asked to have Jacque’s DNA samples in relation to her car which was reported to have been used by her fiancé Joe Irungu on the night of Monica Kimani’s murder.

The Court further directed that Maribe should not be forced to record any statements in the absence of her lawyer Katwa Kigen.
