"There was a very precise process of determining the validity of each and every ballot paper,"  he said.

Kerry did however acknowledge that there were some "minor variances" during the election process but none that could affect the system's integrity in anyway.

He further commented on the system's efficiency saying;

"The identification process made it certain that the people who were voting were registered,"

"It is the paper ballots that tell the story of this election, not the electronic transmission of the results,"

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Kerry condemned leaders that seemed to be inciting Kenyans especially with the counting of the votes still ongoing.

"It is not right for leaders to call for mass action before the whole process is complete."

He urged Kenyans to be patient with IEBC as the form 34 and 36 are validated

"If there is a legitimate complaint then there is a process," he continued.

He was speaking at Radisson Blu.
