According to reports, the bus hit a bump leading to the collapse of part of the base. The pupil's seat caved in and the back wheel of the bus crushed him to death.

Eye witnesses at the scene stated that the base of the bus was in a deplorable condition and could not hold the weight of passengers.

The little boy's sister who is in class two was also inside the bus when her brother died.
