Former employees of Spectre International, a company associated with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, have moved court over unpaid dues.

The 116 ex-staff claim that the company has not cleared money owed to them dating back to December 2017.

According to the complainants, their unpaid dues amount to Sh150 million.

Embattled Spectre International

Spectre International is a company owned by the Kisumu Molasses Plant which is majority owned by the Odinga family.

Spectre has been facing a number of law suits that also involve unpaid debts.

Betric Kenya Ltd obtained court orders to recover their unpaid debt for fuel that was supplied three years ago.

"The plaintiff’s claim against the defendant is for Sh7.7 million, being the amount payable on account of the fuel delivered to the defendant and accrued interest now payable by reason of the delay in loan payment, which delay has solely been caused by the defendant," Betric stated in court papers.
