Bachelor of Arts in Economics - University of Nairobi.

Professional career

Mr Rasanga joined the public service in Ministry of Agriculture as a supplies officer in-charge of National Agricultural laboratories. He later served as a Supplies officer in different districts before he was promoted to Senior Procurement officer in charge of Procurement and materials management.

In 2005, he was admitted as an advocate of the High Court. He is an expert advisor in matters of public procurement. He has served as Secretary to the District Tender Boards in various Districts including Busia, Bungoma, West Pokot and Embu.

Political career

Cornel Rasanga entered the political arena in 2013, when he vied for Governor for Siaya County. The Orange Democratic Movement selected Cornel Rasanga as the party candidate after a disputed party nomination between Oburu Odinga and Oduol. He is a member of the ODM party. He will be facing Nicholas Gumbo in August polls.
