Their family has a long shared history with Uhuru's father, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta spending time with Raila's father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga in their homes in Bondo and Kisumu.

"Jaramogi used to go and stay in Gatundu," Odinga added.

The extensive course of their familial history can't be erased or ignored despite any tensions between Uhuru and Raila.

"We only differ in politics," Mr Odinga clarified.
