The body was found in the bedroom of his home which is within the cement factory. His hands and legs were tied up and the rope further coiled around his neck.

Kericho Deputy Police Commander Paul Nasio confirmed the incident disclosing how they believe the suspects gained access into the businessman's house.

"They lifted the tiles from the roof, gaining access to the house through the kitchen store before proceeding to the bedroom where Siaz was sleeping," Nasio told reporters.

He added that the suspects disabled CCTV cameras stationed around the house before they executed the murder.

The killers, however, were captured on CCTV surveillance inside the house but they could not be identified as they had masked their faces.

They also made away with a number of bags whose contents remain unknown.

Chetan's murder is the second reported incident in the last two days where occupants of a house were found murdered with signs of strangulation.

In Nairobi's South B Golden Gate Estate, a mother and her daughter were on Monday found in their house murdered with no leads as to the motive or suspects in the double murder.

They were both strangled with a sisal rope which was found on the body of the older woman.

Tours and Travels tycoon Tob Cohen was also found with hands and legs tied up when the DCI detectives recovered his body from a septic tank in his house.

Cohen's wife Sarah Wairimu is a suspect in the shocking murder.
