The High court blocked the Presidential Delivery Unit from placing adverts on Jubilee achievements in print, electronic or banners.

The case was filed by Katiba Institute which held that the Government cannot use public resources to advertise its achievements during the election period.

According to the Institute, it was against section 14 of the Elections Act to place the ads in a bid to woo voters.

President Kenyatta’s has heavily used different media platforms to publicize its achievement as one of its campaign strategies.
