According to Citizen Digital, Governor Obado is locked up in a comfortable VIP wing in the remand prison.

Reports indicate that Obado who is sharing the room with two other murder suspects is given good food that comes from outside the prison and he has a regular supply of clean blankets and mattresses.

It is said that given his position, an officer in the rank of a sergeant has been assigned to attend to the Migori Governor at all times.

He is also said to have access to guests who visit him at the remand Prison including his employees from Migori County.

Governor Okoth Obado is being detained at Industrial Area Remand Prison after a Nairobi Court died him bail in a case where is charged with the murder of Sharon Otieno.

He is remanded until October 8, when his bail application ruling will be made.
