After the recent shaking of hands between President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga, there was a proposal on social media to have Economist and NASA chief strategist David Ndii become the new Treasury Cabinet Secretary.
On Wednesday, a netizen suggested that President Kenyatta ought to replace Treasury CS Henry Rotich with Mr Ndii.
"After the historic and a highly unexpected reunion, should reform the national treasury by replacing the clueless with . I believe he can help transform the economy away from these exaggerated debts. ,” the tweet read.
The highly ranked Economist was promptly responded to the endorsement to have him work with President Kenyatta Government in a bid to serve the country with his vast knowledge.
He declined the proposal and instead proposed Mohamed Wehliye, a senior vice president, financial risk management, Riyad Bank.
This comes after Ndii expressed his support for the deal between Mr Kenyatta and Odinga to work together.
