Former Big Brother Africa star involved in fatal accident
Former Big Brother Africa star Millicent Mugadi escaped death narrowly after a vehicle she was travelling in collided with a lorry on the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.
Mugadi who is also the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Ziwani ward was travelling from Kisumu after attending a burial of a football player from her Ward.
According to the doctors at the hospital, the driver of the lorry sustained minor injuries and a fractured leg.
Mugadi was later airlifted to Nairobi as the hospital was unable to offer her specialised treatment.
Gilgil OCPD Sarah Koki confirmed the incident and said that preliminary investigations showed that the driver of the saloon car had swerved to the wrong side thus the collision.
Drink driving?
Controversial blogger Robert Alai purported that Mugadi was drinking at the time of the accident.
In a post on his Facebook wall, Alai wrote “My friend and leader MCA Millicent Mugadi. Did it have to be this way? I hope that you recover very fast. But please let's stop drinking alcohol and driving. The amount of alcohol found in that car is out of this world.”
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko flew to the hospital and organised for Mugadi to be airlifted to Nairobi hospital where she's currently admitted.
He also organised for the transportation of the deceased bodies to Chiromo mortuary in Nairobi from the Gilgil Sub-County mortuary.
