All Schools in Kajiado County to be closed

All Schools are yet to be closed following a directive by Kajiado County Commissioner Harsama Kello.

The County Commissioner ordered the schools to be closed until the heavy rains currently experienced dwindles.

This mandate comes following an incident where a pupil died after she was carried by floods as she was headed to school.

Kenyans woke up to yet another nightmare, floodwaters as a result of heavy downpour that stroke the region.

Heavy rains pounded most parts of the Country on Thursday morning. The rains disrupted the movement of vehicles in Nairobi causing heavy traffic snarl ups.

The Meteorological Department has warned of impending heavy rains expected.

According to the weatherman, Mt Kenya, Kisii, Kericho, Bomet, Narok, Migori, Kakamega, Kajiado, Nakuru and Kwale are expected to experience heavy rains.
