Kibor has accused one Lawrence Kosgei of defrauding him of wheat valued at the aforementioned amount in August 2018.

The 85-year-old, two-time divorcee told the courts that Mr Kosgei had agreed to purchase 872 bags of wheat at Sh3,100 and promised to wire the money to Kibor's eldest son.

"He came to my house and went directly to the store where he picked samples of the wheat and promised to come back the next day," Kibor testified.

Mr Kibor further told Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa that Kosgei loaded the wheat onto two trucks and has since never made the payment.

"My son works in Uganda as a Timber trader and he was not around as we were negotiating with Kosgei," the old man told the court.

The matter was adjourned to be heard again on April 16.
