In what could be another confirmation of the rising fanaticism in English Football among Kenyans, Egyptian footballer Mo Salah, who was named Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers’ Association and has made history by becoming the first African player ever to collect the accolade.

The only other Kenyan to feature in the top ten list was Kenneth Matiba whose cremation was in position six in the list of top searches.
