Embakasi East MP Babu Owino could be one of the major beneficiaries of the unity deal between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA Leader Raila Odinga.
This is after Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli called on Odinga and senior leaders from across the political divide to ensure that Owino remains in parliament.
Atwoli stated that Odinga should lead other leaders including Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Senator Johnson Sakaja in talks with President Kenyatta with the intention of ensuring that Owino does not lose his seat.
"I want to appeal to you senior leaders, don't let this young man (Babu Owino) be thrown out of parliament while you are watching," Atwoli stated.
The Cotu Secretary General was making reference to the nullification of Owino's parliamentary by the High Court.
The youthful MP claimed that the High Court nullified his win as part of a political witch hunt, he has since sought redress at the Court of Appeal.
