Prof Anyang’ Nyong'o – Kisumu Governor

1987 to 1991: Head of Programs of African Academy of Sciences

Kiraitu Murungi – Meru Governor

Kiraitu Murungi was born on 1 January 1952 in Kionyo village, Abogeta division of Meru District in Eastern Kenya. He attended Chuka High School before proceeding to Alliance High School.
Murungi graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi in 1977 and attained a Master of Law in the same university in 1982.
He attained another Master in 1991 of Law from Harvard Law Schoolwhere he served two years in exile in the United States at the heyday of Daniel arap Moi's one-party dictatorship.
