In the wake of the ongoing election petition, NASA strategist David Ndii has created a petition that is set to divide Kenya into two different states.
The petition dubbed KENYAN’S PETITION FOR SELF DETERMINATION is addressed to the African Commission on Human and Peoples right in Banjul, Gambia, to grant David and the rest of the petition co-signers their human rights to self-determination by forming their own state; as provided for in article 20 (1) and 20 (2) of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Right (1986).
In the petition, Mr. Ndii claims that Kenya for the past 54 years after independence, has only been ruled by two communities while it is a country consisting of 44 tribes.
He alleged scenarios of rampant discrimination against the other communities heightened by impunity that has perpetuated the succession of the Kenyan government through rigged elections.
According to Ndii, this has denied other tribes in the country the ability to self-determine and grow economically. He goes on further to attribute the recent election killings and 'tribal cleansing' to the tribal discrimination asking Kenyans of good will to sign the petition.
So far the petition which is targeting 15 million signatures has already been signed by 2,495 Kenyans who have also aired their views
