He served as a District Commissioner in various parts of Kenya before he was appointed as an ambassador to Namibia. He was elected on a Wiper Democratic Party ticket.

He was an affiliate of Wiper party but recently decamped to Jubilee in the run up for the August elections. He will be battling withGodhana Doyo (ODM) and Danzon Buya Mungatana (PPP).

Mr Dado holds two Masters Degrees—one in Development studies and the second an MBA.
