She also holds an undergraduate degree in Education from Kenyatta University.

In parliament, she is a member of Labour Security and Services and the Budget and Appropriations Committee.

She is also the founder of the Foundation for Kenyan Women Pastoralist which lobbies universities to admit girls from disadvantaged communities for prestigious courses.
