About Ahmed Abdullahi Mohamed

He went on to join Jogbaro Primary School, Starehe Boys Centre and the University of Nairobi where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) Bachelor’s Degree.

He also holds CPA (K) and CPA (USA) qualifications, attained an MBA from Strathmore and a Global Business Strategy qualification from IESA Business School in Barcelona.

Ahmed is the immediate former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Industrial Estates Limited (K.I.E). He is also the immediate former Finance Director/ Group Chief Financial Officer Hass Petroleum.

Ahmed Abdullahi Mohamed has previously worked as an auditor with Delloitte and Touche in Nairobi and New York from 1997 to 2007. He also worked on secondment with Barclays Bank as a Business Turn-Around Advisor.

In Kenya’s 2013 general election, Ahmed vied in the gubernatorial elections, winning as Governor of Wajir County, alongside Deputy Governor Abdulhafid Abdullahi Yarow. He was elected on an ODM party.
