Emerging reports indicate that the Monday inferno at Bahati Girls Primary school destroyed property of unknown amount.

It is not clear whether there was any casualty as the fire started when the pupils were in class.

This comes at a time when there have been more than three fire incidents in various schools.

On Saturday morning, a dormitory at Moi Girls School in Nairobi was gutted down and killed nine students.

Investigations were launched into the early morning fire with Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i confirming that it was not an accident.

Speaking on Monday during a press briefing Mr Matiang’i disclosed that the police were hunting down the suspects.
