Confirming the information, ODM Communication Director Phillip Etale stated that the security personnel attached to Odinga and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka have been withdrawn.

According to Etale the officers have been redeployed to North Eastern.

This comes ahead of NASA protests against Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to force out some of the officials.

Etale sharply condemned the move stating that it was ill-advised to do so.

"Withdrawing and security detail is ill advised, backward, outdated and archaic to say the LEAST," he said.
