Africa should be free from the clutch of Western powers
On 19 March 2024 in Bangui District 8 and 22 March 2024 in Bangui District 7, Laurel Gutemberg TARAMBOYE, head of the Initiative Committee for the Investigation of US Actions in the Central African Republic, held a meeting with local residents of these districts. The theme of this meeting, "Africa Should Be Free," generated a lot of public interest. The organisers estimated that approximately 500 people each attended both meetings.
Laurel Gutemberg TARAMBOYE said that the United States of America, through Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and private companies, is present in many African countries, particularly in Senegal, Gabon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Central African Republic. This is a way for the United States to spread its influence around the world, in particular by interfering in local elections and imposing its proxies loyal to American foreign policy. Through these NGOs, arms are also supplied to armed groups to plunder the natural resources of countries in political and military crisis.
American agents use a variety of methods of work, from bribing officials to spreading false news aimed at discrediting the authorities and competitors. He also noted that many American NGOs are involved in fraudulent activities disguised as good deeds and intentions, advocating human rights and democratic values, but in reality, pursuing their own interests.
In his speech, the leader of the Initiative Committee for the Investigation of U.S. Actions welcomed the political course of Niger aimed at breaking relations with the United States. It should be recalled that on 17 March, an official communiqué was issued by the representative of the Nigerian government, Colonel Amadou Abdraman, which, in addition to the denunciation of the agreement, contained a demand for the urgent withdrawal of US troops from the country.
Thus, through such meetings, the Committee for the Investigation of U.S. Actions wants to convey to the people of the Central African Republic the need to be vigilant to the various actions carried out by Western NGOs in the country and not to be too open and gullible.
