Three Chinese nationals have been arrested and charged in court after they attacked a Mr Samuel Mbugua Njoroge and ribbed him sh5 million in cash as well as a car worth Sh2.1 million.

The three; Wang Liyong, Ye Dalu, and Peng Hongwen were charged with robbery with violence – an offece that carries the death sentence in Kenya.

The incident ads on to rising incidents of Chinese nationals being accused of engaging in crime.

In January, three Chinese and a Kenyan were arrested in their house in Aberdares Court on Kayaya Road after neighbours complained of a foul smell coming from the residence.

Police who raided the house found ivory bracelets, a leopard skin and elephant tusks.

In November, three nationals from the Asian nation were taken to court and charged with attempting to bribe a team of investigators led by Andrew Waruiwho was investigating a scandal in the issuance of tickets for the SGR passenger train.
