Competing for best dressed against Billy Porters black tie gown and Nicholas Hoults Dior tuxedo, McAvoy invited his famous friends to sign his shirt after appearing pristine on-stage to present the award for Best Sound Editing alongside Danai Gurira. He then took to Instagram to show off the Sharpie signatures, saying: Went to the Oscars. Presented. Got mugged by sharpie wielding celebrities. #thuglebrity Im sure my shirt is going to be defaced by more of these entitled graffiti mentalists as the night goes on.
The shirt features the signatures of Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan, Best Actress nominee Glenn Close, and one fifth of Queer Eyes Fab Five, Karamo Brown, alongside a few more we cant quite make out.

McAvoy will reportedly put the shirt up for sale, with proceeds going to charity. He works with a number of them, including UNICEF and Ronald McDonald House (which is currently included in his Instagram bio). However, speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he said hes currently unsure where the shirt will eventually be auctioned off, saying: this was off the cuff and alcohol-fueled.
