4. Competition span is relatively longer in politics, usually more than a day to cover the whole process (voting, tallying and announcing results) while competition span is shorter in sports (the far it can go is like 3 hours for sports like Volleyball).

6. Fans (the people) take part directly with votes in politics while fans only cheer up their teams in sports.

7. Winners in politics are determined by votes while winners in sports competitions are determined by goals, points, sets or time (like in athletics).

8. Candidates in politics remain jobless if they lose while sports players remain employed by clubs even if they lose a match.

9. It is not a must for politicians to work as a team while it is a must to work as a team in most sports competitions.

10. There is no draw in politics; it’s either a win or a loss while sports competitions can record draws.
