Simple tips to remove deodorant stains from clothes

No one loves body odor and one way to fight is getting some deodorant. While it does an amazing job of boosting your confidence and giving you a nice scent all day, mishaps are not uncommon. The deodorant may accidentally spill on your clothes leaving a stubborn stain.

But you can’t just get rid of your favorite shirt just because of the stains. Because there is always a solution you could try before you say never. Check out some easy tips and try them out:

1. White vinegar

There is so much more you can do with vinegar than you ever thought. Luckily, it’s one of the household items you never miss in most kitchens. Soak the stained clothe in white vinegar for an hour. Then brush the stain off with a brush before cleaning it normally in a washing machine. This works for both white and colored clothes.

2. Baking soda

This is yet another product with a myriad of home uses. Make a paste using baking soda and water and rub it on the stain. Let it for some hours before washing with warm water. This is suitable for the yellowish kind of deodorant stains.

3. Aspirin

Got some old aspirin tablets in your first aid kit? Crush them and make a thick paste with water and apply on the stain. After some hours, clean off the stains and voila, your piece of cloth will be as perfect as it was before the stains. However, this best works in white clothes.

4. Lemon juice and water

Make a solution of equal amounts of water and lemon juice. Apply on the stain then leave it on the sun for like an hour before cleaning. The bleaching properties of the lemon juice and the sun will do wonders.

5. Salt

If you do not have all the above options, you sure cannot miss salt in your kitchen. Just apply the salt on the stains then scrub off the stains.
