The outspoken MP explained that the election petitions filed by election losers in Nyanza region were undermining Odinga’s campaign for the repeat presidential election that has been slotted for October 17.

Ms. Odhiambo added that many of those filing the petitions belonged to small parties aligned to the NASA coalition as well as Independents candidates who were aligned to their camp.

The ODM legislator pleaded with the election losers to withhold the petitions to avoid distracting Luo Nyanza elected leaders who were focusing on Odinga’s national campaigns.

The Suba North MP further stated that she feared some of the candidates were being used by Jubilee to undermine the Opposition’s momentum.
