Passaris took to her Twitter handle to announce her presence at the inauguration ceremony with a message saluting Mike Sonko.

“At Uhuru Park this morning for the swearing-in of Nairobi's new Governor, . Congratulations Your Excellency! ” tweeted Esther Passaris

The message elicited mixed reactions with some noting that she was too fast in congratulating Sonko.

“Madam you seem in a hurry to congratulate Jubilee guys, I never see you near Baba nowadays!! Thank you so much” one Twitter user said

However, a section of the public took issue with his congratulatory message to Sonko.

" thank you for showing up. Our politics as matured and it's encouraging to see you team up with Sonko for a better Nairobi"
