The Opposition was seeking to block the printing of the papers by the Dubai- based firm Al Ghurair and cancellation of the Sh2.5 Billion tender awarded to it.

Mr. Odunga ruled that the printing process should continue as earlier scheduled.

He forwarded the case to Chief Justice David Maraga and asked him to appoint a three-judge bench to hear the case.

Judge Odunga stated that the matter ought to be heard urgently highlighting that it raises weighty issues touching on the Constitution, fair administration of justice and was also of great public interest.

He also proposed presidential aspirant Ekuru Aukot, the Attorney-General and Jubilee Party to be enjoined in the suit.
