Githeri Man and 7 other surprising people to receive State honour at Jamhuri Day celebrations

As Kenya marks its 54th Jamhuri Day celebrations, a few notable Kenyans such as Githeri Man will be receiving State commendations from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Others include singers Ben Githae and Rufftone; controversial blogger Robert Alai; Citizen TV reporter Jackie Maribe; Director of digital communications for State House Dennis Itumbi; the late General Joseph Nkaiserry's wife, Hellen Nkaiserry; and champion boxer Fatuma Zarika.

The awards- orders, recognitions and medals- are in recognition of outstanding services rendered to the nation.
