A section of netizens were not impressed after Itumbi took to Twitter, remarking on Maribe’s first public appearance at Naisula Lesuuda’s wedding in Samburu.

“Jacque Maribe, looking all good as she attends former collegue Hon. Naisula @Lesuuda's wedding in Samburu.” Itumbi wrote, sharing a photo of the journalist taken at the wedding.

The post elicited a sharp reaction with some challenging Itumbi to be brave enough and declare his feelings for Maribe and tie the knot soon.

Some however saw him as opportunist taking advantage of Maribe’s situation at a time when her fiancé Joseph Jowie Irungu is behind bars over the murder of Monica Kimani.

Others reminded Itumbi that she is still engaged to Jowie and as such he should respect that, alleging that he had failed to move on even after being dumped.

Some alleged that Itumbi is obsessed with the TV queen, terming his antics as immarture and warning that they could scare Maribe away.
