Sex workers stage protest over murder of colleague

Prostitutes in Kenyas city of Mombasa have staged a protest over the murder of their colleague who visited a hotel with a customer.

According to Crime Alerts, the body of the deceased was found over the weekend at by janitors cleaning the room she had slept with her guest.
Her colleagues held placards with the inscriptions, ‘Sex workers: don’t kill them’, ‘Sex workers have right to live’, 'Sex workers: Support them'.
Jacob Kanake, a director for the Mombasa Criminal Investigation Department mentioned that investigations has began into the murder.

He revealed that efforts are being made to apprehend the suspect believed to be responsible for the death of the deceased.
