Police have dispersed youths who had converged outside Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho’s office to swear him in as Raila Odinga’s deputy people’s president.

This comes just days after opposition chief Raila Odinga took an oath at Uhuru Park as the duly elected People’s President of the Republic of Kenya, without his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula were a no show, in the Tuesday event that attracted tens of thousands of opposition coalition National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters.

Joho is Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) first Deputy Party leader nationally.

Joho has always been a strong supporter and member of ODM and he was the one who stood right next to Raila Odinga during his swearing in ceremony.
