If theres anything actor Ethan Suplee is passionate about, its the fact that he has his own side of the family fridge.

Suplee shot a self-quarantine version of Gym and Fridge (with his wife helming the camera) to show you what his diet and workouts look like during the lockdown.

You may know Suplee from Remember the Titans or Boy Meets World and, yeah, he looks different after his dramatic transformation . (He lost 200 pounds and you can learn more about it on his podcast American Glutton ).

So what does his side of the fridge look like? You'll find staples like eggs, chicken, some protein drinks, rice, and his Schmidts 647 bread, a product he is particularly protective over. If somebody else in the house eats a slice of this, there will be hell to pay, he says. This is off-limits to everyone in the house, and I see people sneaking it sometimes! Its infuriating.

For the actor, he has a relatively simple way of sticking to his diet, and its one that many people do on the regular. He prefers to meal prep everything so that he has all of his proteins, carbs, and vegetables ready at any notice.

And because he tends to eat six meals a day, the need to just pull something out of the fridge is essential. I plan out my food pretty diligently, he says. Usually everything I eat in a given day is prepared a day or two in advance. Once I have my food set for that day, I dont deviate from that.

COVID-19 hasn't changed Suplee's diet. Rather than trying to gain or lose weight, the actor is trying to maintain it. As for what you wont find on his side of the fridge: whipped cream or pie shells. But there is one thing that he wishes stayed on his side. I really like La Croix, but having a wife, four daughters, and one daughters boyfriend in the house, every case lasts about ten minutes.

As for his breakfast, Suplee has a very interesting analogy to creating his protein shakes, a staple to his daily diet. When you cook a piece of protein, a really good chef can hear the sizzle as it comes to its crescendo of caramelization, he says while generously shaking his protein shake. Quite in the same way, a really trained personsuch as myselfcan hear the consistency of a protein shake change.

Suplee then takes the viewer to his home gym. Although he owns the gym essentials (weights, an elliptical, assault bike), he cant purchase any other equipment because of all the gym supplies selling out.

So hes had to adjust his workouts, mostly doing weights to failure. [Workouts] take a long time, because the weights I have are so light. Since I dont have anything heavy, I do much more reps and I just go until failure every day.

With his continued fitness goal of gaining muscle mass, hes trying to maintain that in his home fitness routine, which he admits is hard to get an intense workout. If its hot outside, I dont turn the air conditioner on and i sweat a little bit morethats an intense workout for me these days.

And for those looking for more details: Suplee loves changing his workout playlist based on his mood, thinks Crossfit is good for young people with good knees, and his dream workout partner? Its The Rock because hes pretty badass.
