Multinational consumer goods Company Bidco Africa has been forced to pull down an advert that had been classified as sensitive by a section of online users.

For the past few weeks, Bidco has been running a video advert of its “Jooz” Juice brand on its social media pages, created with a "Mango grenade concept" that explodes in a bottle to produce the juicy extracts.

A curious fan identified as Wiselar, raised concern on the timing of the advert’s concept in relation to the recent Dusit D2 terror attack.

In a quick rejoinder, Bidco apologized and pulled down the video stating that they are in solidarity with all Kenyans and the advert should not be viewed in a bad test.

“Hi @wiselar. We apologize for the post published on IG promoting our Jooz Juice brand. We have since taken down the post. As a Kenyan company we stand in solidarity with all Kenyans and remain committed to delivering products that reflect the values and aspirations of all Kenyans,” reads a tweet from Bidco.

The advert was posted on the company’s Instagram page just days after the country experienced one of its most deadly terror attacks at 14 Riverside office complex in Nairobi that left 21 people dead.
