Kenya’s Rugby 15s team dropped one place down in the latest world rugby rankings released on Monday despite their last weekends 33-33 draw against Uganda.

The Simbas dropped from position 25 to position 26, swapping places with Portugal on the ladder.

Elgon Cup runners up (lost to Kenya on 56-51 aggregate points) Uganda, made five steps up to occupy position 40 just behind Paraguay.

New Zealand, England, Ireland, Australia and South Africa seal the first five slots of the rankings in that order.

Kenya is set to host Tunisia in the second match of the 2017 Africa Gold Cup slated for July 8.
