Kenya among world's unhappiest countries

Kenya has been found to be among the worlds most miserable countries according to the United Nations Worlds Happiest Countries report.

The index which makes its rankings based on gross domestic product, freedom to make personal choices, trust, healthy life expectancy, social support, perceptions of corruption and generosity.

Kenya was ranked 124th out of 156 total countries.

Finland was first followed by Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland.

The highest ranking African country was Libya which was 70th followed by Algeria which was 84th then Morocco which was 85th.

According to the report, the unhappiest countries are South Sudan(154), Central African Republic(155) and Burundi (156).

The report was released by Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the United Nations in preparation for World Happiness Day on March 20th.

According to CNN, his report is the sixth to come out since 2012. The rankings of the world's happiest countries came from an analysis of data from surveys in 156 countries taken from 2015 to 2017.
