Jubilee Party boss reveals details of Uhuru, Ruto silent fights

A close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta has sensationally blamed Deputy President William Ruto for the lack of regional balance in the allocation of top government positions.

Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe, who is also a close personal friend of the Kenyattas, said the DP and the President had been having a 50/50 share of all government positions. ‘

He decried that Ruto shared all his seats with his community, leaving President Kenyatta with half the government to share to the entire country.

"From 2013 when we took government, we shared everything and he got some of the plum jobs like Finance, Agriculture, Energy and all. But everything he got he kept to himself leaving Uhuru to share his half with the entire country, we will not allow that," Murathe said.

The Jubilee Vice Chairman spoke while attending the 39^th Maragoli cultural festival where he also declared that there was no MoU requiring the Kikuyu community to support the Deputy President come 2022.

“We don’t have an MoU with anyone to support them in 2022. If they agreed that with Uhuru, that is their problem. Let us meet at the ballot,” Murathe said.

The former Gatanga MP went ahead to say the DP should retire in 2022 having enjoyed half of government for two terms.

The festival was also attended by ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula, Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli, Water CS Eugene Wamalwa, among other leaders from the Western region.
