Two people on Tuesday died while three others were injured after a triple head on collision of two lorries and a motorcycle at Maseno along the Kisumu-Busia highway.

The grisly road accident caused a huge traffic snarl-up along the road as police officers were forced to direct the motorists around the wreckage.

Police are yet to identify the cause of the accident.

Sharp bends cause of accident

Last Sunday, 2 people lost their lives while three were seriously injured after an accident that involved a Probox and fuel truck at Gwa Kariba area along the Mwea-Embu highway in Kirinyaga County.

The injured had been rushed to Mwea Level 5 hospital together with the bodies of the deceased.

Residents noted that the cause of the accidents was due the sharp bends on the road .
