To those Kenyans scared of a Donald Trump Presidency, Have You met Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto?
The man least expected to sweep his arrogant and brash way to victory is already been predicted to be the undisputed next President of the United States.
Allover the World, from Britain to Mexico to Germany and even to Africa, Trump was the least favored person to clinch the most powerful office on Earth.
He's had his effigies burnt, he's had the plaque bearing his name vandalized at the Hollywood Walk, he's been vilified and slurred, he's been mocked and ridiculed by all late night TV shows, he's had all major newspapers and media outlets lampooning him and deriding his Campaign and he's been isolated by pretty much the whole of Hollywood - a very powerful society that has held massive sway in the US elections for a long time.
Even the power couple of music , Jay Z and Beyonce, has publicly not only stood with his rival but also thrown a star-studded massive free concert as campaign incentive for her.
Still, despite the hostility and the hate, despite the his Twitter wars and inflammatory speeches, despite his clear lack of solid policy and xenophobic statements, despite the overwhelming rejection by the rest of the World, Trump is clearly sailing to victory in a way that has baffled and even confused the keenest of political watchers and scientists.
All the major news networks around the World openly rallied for Hillary Clinton
Closer home, Kenyans are universally horrified and full of indignation over what looks like a certain Trump win.
Like Latinas, Blacks and Muslims, Kenyans stood together in their shared hatred and opposition to a Trump Presidency. Twitter wars and Facebook battles have already erupted in earnest with Kenyans typing their anger away and praying that Hillary Clinton wins.
Across Whatsaap groups and other social media platforms, Kenyans are foaming and raving in the mouth.
They can't imagine Trump taking over from Obama, their own son, a black man and a figure of hope and peace across the World.
"Trump akishinda aki tumeisha! ''Â "Trump should never win aki""Walai Trump akishinda it will be so bad for Africa! ""Â Â Aki Mungu asaidide tu Trump asishinde aki... "
These are some of the desperate sentiments and cries of hope and fear echoing across the Internet across Kenya and Africa at large.
But before we think of how bad a Trump presidency can be, let's look at what we already have in our hands.
Museveni. Jacob Zuma. Mugabe. Kabila. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. José Eduardo dos Santos. Salva Kiir.
And closer home, we have Uhuru Kenyatta and his graft-riddled surrogate William Ruto.
In 2013, when we resoundingly voted for the UhuRuto duo, we had high hopes. We had faith in these two political superstars who were not only battling a plaguing case at the ICC but also battling, we thought, to free us from bonadge and sail us to a land of milk and honey.
In 2013, we were enamored and swayed by the narrative of these two kids on the block, one from Eldoret and the other from Gatundu. We were smitten by them and their cute looks. We saw in them political messiahs who would not just fix our Country but do is so sexily.
The campaign posters that hypnotized Kenyans Photo/ Jubilee
We admired their lofty speeches, glittering agendas, dreamy manifestos, dashing looks, youthful gaits, beautiful smiles, wonderful camaraderie, matching suits and cute, bromance.
Compared to the CORD gang, UhuRuto swayed us and wowed us. We invested not just our faith but also votes and future in these two shining rockstars who would arm our little kids with laptops and bounce the economy to high heights.
And then we voted them in. And immediately, the unspeakable horror began.
The Jubilee Government thrived on nothing but the pilfering of billions upon billions of Kenya shillings.
What promised to be a dreamy, fantastical ride to success and national prosperity quickly became a dirty game of massive embezzlement, epic graft, outstanding grabbing of land and public spaces, the thievery of billions of public funds, the suppression of the Opposition and gross incompetence and lack of leadership, violent disruption of peaceful protests, intemperate tribalism ,sickening sycophancy and even an attack on the media.
And yet, we're the same ones screaming our lungs away in the Internet pretending to be horrified and scared of an Election happening hundreds of miles away.
And yet, we're the same lot that can't stand an eminent Trump win.
We have become restless, lost our minds and are also going bonkers at the imagination of a Trump presidency.
What could be worse, Africa? What? What could possibly be worse Kenya?
We've endured a cold, thieving regime that has siphoned the last billion from our coffers.
We've just endured a regime of nothing but incredible tribalism, thuggery, carelessness and lack of tact.
We're being led by a man who has publicly admitted he has lost the war on corruption and can't seem to know what the hell to do even though all the power rests with him.
We're being governed by a bunch that has not only crafted scandal after scandal but also stolen money meant for the sick and the cancer-stricken and the women in labor.
The Jubilee Government became the proud home of graft
Under these two, we've watched as billions meant for public consumption gets shared around a little gang of illiterate hairdressers and decaying taxi drivers and yet, nothing has been done to them.
We've watched as our little Class One kids have been lied to, in broad daylight, and denied the very gadgets the Government came into power promising to dish out.
We're currently under the yokes and slavery of the most corrupt, scandalous, tribal and inept Government since Independence.
And yet, we've survived.
What could be worse gentlemen? What?
The rest of Africa, just like Kenya, can't imagine a Trump presidency. We're literally losing out minds and almost cursing America for daring elect such a worthless, hateful, divisive scoundrel.
We just can't imagine how Americans can vote for a candidate so manifestly unqualified for high office, so temperamentally unsound and so scary yet ludicrous.
But we still live and thrive under the murderous, tyrannical, bloody and violent regimes of Mugabe and Museveni and Omar El Bashir.
In fact, we flock to the poll stations to elect them every five years. Over and over and over again.
And still, we're the same lot that can't stand a Trump presidency. In a land that isn't even ours.
You cannot repeatedly support – and elect - murderers, bloody gangs, drug dealers, thieves, tribalists, land grabbers, war-mongers, dictators, assassins and violent brutes and pretend to be horrified and shocked that America has elected a mere Reality TV clown to the highest office on the land.
Trumps notoriety cannot be matched by the incredible madness that is the Jubilee government.
We are already planning to wake up early in August 2017 to vote back this conniving, incompetent lot back to power. Just so they can swindle the Country some more, rob us some more, disappoint us some more, eat some more, squabble some more and underdeliver some more and yet we can't sleep at night trying to keep Trump away from power.
Africa - and Kenya - You've just experienced what horror in power means.
In fact, you've created the worst of politics and elevated to the highest office some of the most unqualified drunken scumbags to power.
No matter what he does, how he does it, what he says, what he tries and what he implements, I doubt President Donald J Trump can be as terrible as the Jubilee squad.
Doubt he can do a worse job than these two. Highly doubt.
