Much touted super alliance suffers major setback as Kanu pulls out

It seems like even before the national super alliance party (NASA) takes off, it is already flat out.

NASA, a coalition of opposition parties hoping to give Jubilee a run for its money, and hopefully kick out the Uhuruto government out of power, come 2017 may just be that, a dream.

This is because one of NASA key parties has taken an about turn, and declared it has no interest in being part and parcel of the grand opposition vehicle.

Baringo Senator, Gideon Moi has said, Kanu has no plans to join the National Super Alliance, ahead of next year’s general election. Punching out all air out of the much touted Super Alliance.

"I want to tell [people] that it is true, we have got no plan as at now concerning them; we just want to see Kenyans get their rights," he said on Thursday.

The Kanu party leader, reiterated that the 'chama cha Baba na Mama' has no plans to join any alliance to unseat Jubilee Party come 2017.

The son of Arap Moi, also warned those spreading rumours about other parties to desist, adding that every region in the county has its own parties to support.

"Therefore they should stop bothering much about other people's political affiliation," he said.

Gideon Moi, further added that Rift valley is a Kanu zone, and jubilee afflicted leaders from the region should desist from trying otherwise.

“We don’t want to hear leaders like DP William Ruto and Baringo Central MP Sammy Mwaita using their own powers to decide for us how things should be done in our own county,” the Senator said as was carried by a local daily.

Gideon was addressing a fundraiser in Marigat town, and was accompanied by Baringo county speaker William Kamket, Rift Valley Kanu coordinator Jonathan Bii and Kanu MCAs.
