Simba offer cheap tickets to lure fans for Wydad Casablanca clash

Once bitten, they say, twice shy. That is exactly what comes to mind when you find out the prices of tickets for Simba’s home fixture in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League quarterfinal clash against Wydad Casablanca on Saturday.

The Tanzanian giant announced that the tickets for the first leg to be played on Saturday from 4 pm will go for as low as Ushs. 2000 (Tshs,1300 or $0.55).

The match will take place inside the 60,000-seater Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar Es Salaam.

Simba are looking at qualifying for the semi-final for the first time in their history but face a tough mount to climb in Wydad who is the defending champion.

They want to better their 2018/19 and 2020/21 quarterfinal appearances where they bowed out to TP Mazembe and Kaizer Chiefs from DR Congo and South Africa, respectively.

Simba might have picked quality lessons from their 3-0 loss to another side from the city of Casablanca, Raja who were the only team to beat them at home in the group stages.

They beat Ugandan champion Vipers 1-0 and thrashed AC Horoya from Guinea 7-0.
