Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested Shinyalu Member of Parliament (MP) Justus Kizito.

The MP’s arrest was confirmed by Kakamega DCI boss James Lelia. Reports indicate that Kizito has been apprehend over alleged destruction of property at Ileo area in Kakamega Country.
He was arrested alongside his driver and another suspect.
Police said they are searching for five more suspects who were with the lawmaker on February 2, 2021 at Vukutsa Primary School when they destroyed property belonging to a family known as the Mudekus which is embroiled in a land dispute with the school.
However, Kizito was later released on Sh100,000 bond.
