Raila breaks silence hours after health scare in Tanzania

Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga said he was ok after a video emerged of him being held by security officers in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

In the video, Odinga is helped to walk, seemingly because of having difficulties doing so.

In a statement on his official Twitter account Mr Odinga said: "Dear Kenyans and friends from around the globe, I am well and in Good health. Thank you for your concern."

His spokesman Dennis Onyango also issued a statement maintaining that the African Union High Representative for Infrastructure was in good health.

Mr Odinga was one of the dignitaries who watched the third edition of the SportPesa Cup final between Kenyan sides Kariobangi Sharks and Bandari at the National Stadium. 

Sports Principal Secretary Kirimi Kaberia and SportPesa Chief Executive Officer Ronald Karauri were also at the match which was won by the Sharks.

That goal not only earned Sharks Sh3 million prize money but also a ticket to face English Premier League side Everton in a friendly later this year.
