Uhuru Responds to Caroline Mutoko’s arrest orders
President Uhuru Kenyatta has responded to radio queen Caroline Mutoko a day after ordering him to arrest people responsible for publishing the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) magazine.
In a tweet shared by State House Communication Director Dennis Itumbi, President Kenyatta told Ms. Mutoko that he will hearken to the advice she issued before the grand launch of the multi-billion project.
“. to , "I saw your video on SGR and be sure I am doing something about it" the tweet read.
"Long before the video by Caro, her concerns had already been addressed by the planning team who had a list of millennials and a cross section of Kenyans from all 47 Counties, institutions, opposition politicians, businessmen, journalists etc.
"The train will be a mobile communication of #TransformingTransportKE #KenyaYasongaMbio," the President noted.
In the video, Ms. Mutoko blasted the President over a publication on the SGR which she opined was a shoddy job.
She demanded the President to find the people who did the work and arrest them.
“This video is for the President. Sir No, I need you to find the person who has done this and jail them,”
“It is horrible. Can you imagine this went through approval?” Mutoko posed while going through the magazine.
