Raila dared Cord leader Raila Odinga has dared President Uhuru Kenyatta to arrest him over allegations that he was inciting Kenyans to cause chaos, as the political heat ahead of the August elections intensified.

In his retaliatory remarks, Raila argued that the government should focus on solving issues affecting the citizenry instead.

“I have been in jail for nine years while Uhuru was born and raised in State House. He cannot threaten me with a jail term,” said Mr Odinga at Maili Tatu Market.

Expect dust

But, unperturbed, President Kenyatta vowed to show the Cord leader “dust once more” in the next elections as Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Wiper Party counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka joined the fray, accusing the President of attempting to intimidate his rivals through the use of force.

Meanwhile the leader of majority Aden Duale has said that the opposition Raila is in panic after realizing the increase in numbers of voters for the Jubilee Party in the ongoing mass voter registration exercise.

Already the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) released data on the ongoing voter registration exercise, showing the Jubilee held areas leading in voter listing.
