President Uhuru Kenyatta has revealed that Governor Hassan Joho planned to abuse him during the launch of mtongwe ferry services before he was nabbed by recce squad officers and placed under office arrest.

Speaking in an interview on Monday with Citizen TV's Lulu Hassan and Kanze Dena, Kenyatta stated that he could not allow Joho to attend his function just to abuse him."Siwezi nikakubali Joho aje mkutano wangu na kunitusi. Siwezi kukubali," the president affirmed during the interview.Losely translated, “I cannot allow Joho to attend my function to abuse me.''Kenyatta affirmed that he was the president of Kenya and had the liberty to tour any part of the country."Mimi ni Raisi Wa Kenya. Nina ruhusa yakutembea popote bila kuomba ruhusa yeyote ikiwemo Governor Joho," Kenyatta said.

Losely translated,” I am the president of Kenya. I am allowed to tour any part of the country without asking for anyone's permission including Governor Joho."The Head of State also denied claims that he had anger issues over his recent public outbursts to the Opposition leaders.

On March 13, Joho was nabbed by Recce squad officers and barred from attending President Kenyatta’s function.

The Mombasa Governor later claimed that he had been placed under house arrest by the officers until the President concluded his functions in Mombasa.

Kenyatta warned Joho that he would teach him a lesson if he continued joking and interfering with his work in Mombasa.
