A Nairobi court has ordered Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinet and Immigration Director Gordon Kihalangwa to deport a Nigerian man who has been in the country for eight years without proper documents.

Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi made the ruling requiring Boinet and Kihalangwa to ensure Okeke Patrick Godwin Chukwudu was immediately deported by Wednesday evening.

The state counsel told the court that the Nigerian national had been preying on Nairobi women but kept on dumping one for another in order to survive in the city.

“The Inspector General of National Police Service to liaise with the Director of Immigration to ensure the accused person is deported this evening. You must be on a flight to Nigeria this evening,” Andayi ruled on Wednesday afternoon.

Okeke's attempt to justify his presence in Kenya without immigration documents proved futile.

He had claimed that his Kenyan wife had confiscated his passport with the intention of grabbing his property in Nairobi.

The magistrate, however, challenged him to show any prove of his legal existence in the country for the past 2010 - he was unable to demonstrate.
